Making an improbable comeback with three stars wearing the style, this month already, skirts over dresses (hereafter known as the SOD) seems to be a new micro-trend creeping into the wardrobes of some of fashion’s most trusted style leaders and against all odds, the finished look of this potential mish-mash can be rather effective.

But for every style success story there’s a fashion failure, and Karolina Kurkova’s baggy burgundy and grey croc concoction threatened to end it all for the SOD as soon as it had begun.
