Yesterday Sunday, I attended World Runway “Premiere”at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The event was organized and created by Tokyo Girls Collection owner.

Representing different countries were 8 stylists and their teams. Teams from Brazil, France, Italy, Japan, Russia, Singapore, UK and the USA competed to assemble 10 looks each.

The focus was on clothes which I liked. The stylists were given a budget of just $500 per look and just 2 days to purchase pieces from shops in Singapore with which they created their showcase. To further up the ante, they were provided with themes to work around.

I invited 40 of my friends in the VIP area, it was fun to meet on a Sunday afternoon and watching the models parade in some almost jaw-dropping outfits, several near-miss accidents from Lady-Gaga-inspired-heels, and some technical faults like when the room went deep-black for a few minutes.

RESULTS:

UK won. They were my least favorites. My favorite teams were Italy, Japan and Russia. Russia the most interesting.

Entertainment:

Korean singer Se7en made a special guest appearance, and performed “Digital Bounce” and followed by “Come Back To Me,” “La La La,” and “Passion.”
