HOPE CHARITY DINER AT THE CANADIAN EMBASSY
ON STAGE, before the diner started. Together with Hiroko who wears a Giambatista Valli vintage gown which I auctioned at the event. She of course looks way much better than me in the gown also I asked her to model it.
We were chatting with Hawaiian-born Japanese–Samoan former sumo wrestler Konishiki, about his work with the Konishiki Kids, his foundation. He does so much to help others. He understands what it means to survive, to be a poor kid. He grew up in a big-family in Hawaii, (i think about 10 sibblings) where every day was a survival experience. I have so much respect for him, because his heart is very kind and his spirits are always high. He is a dear friend of my husband and I like his gorgeous wife Chie, very much.
Hiroko changed into her own Celine gown after the diner, because the Giambatista Valli gown that she was wearing when she arrived was bought during the silent auction.
below with Hiroko Mima and Asami Ferguson.
Now that is funny… after the diner, I had one and a half hour before heading to the Haneda airport. Also, I decided to go have a drink at Two Rooms in Aoyama with Hiroko and Asami. (My flight was at 1 am). The MK taxi we took, dropped us at the wrong side of the street and we had to cross Aoyama Avenue pulling my 2 huge suitcases!! We were looking very funny wearing a gow and high heels in the middle of a casual scenery. I love that kind of bizzarre situation…. we kept laughing and Asami was behid us pulling a sammler suicase while snapping photos of us with her camera.
I stayed 2 weeks in Japan working every day, also I needed to bring a huge wardrobe with me this time.
As soon as we arrived inside the buildiing, I removed my shoes because my feet were about to fall off my legs!
I changed from my evening dress to a more casual look in order to travel…. inside Two Rooms restrooms I twas a smart move because the trip to the airport later on was jammed due to a traffic accident and I barely made it on time for my flight. Also it would have been impossible to change at the lounge, before departure, and I would have traveled in my Jill Sander evening dress and my high Gucci stilettos! Not so confortable indeed.
