ABOUT MAKE-UP/ MY REPLIES:

LUISA: Ines, the idea of not wearing is better for your skin… is that true? Please say no!

ME: Actually Luisa, i think it is healthier for your skin to wear make-up as we live in a very polluted atmosphere and make-up works as a barrier to protect your skin. Some foundations have sunscreen in it. As far as you remove your make-up very carefully before going to bed and that you wear a light foundation that let your skin breath naturally, then you are safe and will look good.

ERIKO: Does “for sensitive skin means anything at all?

ME: Right now I think that most of the cosmetic creams are formulated for sensitive skins, but if you have a HIGHLY sensitive skin I would recommend you to use Avene from France.

HELEN: Do we need to worry about what we carry around everyday in our make-up bag? People told me that we need to replace our products every 3 months… is this true?

ME: There will be bacterias on your lip-glosses or lipsticks for sure, also try not to apply directly on your lips. Best is to clean the tip of it and the cap with an alcohol base product, every week and you will be safe. Make-up brushes are a danger as well, as they can can contain nasty bacterias. Treat them like your toothbrush, always clean them after use and you will be safe. No worries about your cosmetics as they are formulated to last much longer than 3 months. But do not leave your make-up bag in a hot place like your car in the summer.

EMIKO: In your opinion, what do people mess-up most often?

ME: Definitely eyeliner!! (which is the most difficult to do). If you lift your eyelid with your fingers after you’ve applied it (as if you were trying to get under the lid) and push the eyeliner underneath and in between the lashes to make-sure you’ve got color to the root, right on the lash line, that really works. And it can make you look much younger for sure!

Hope it helps
