Youth AIDS
This Friday I was in Washinton D.C. for the Youth AIDS gala. Youth AIDS is an educational and prevention program of PSI (Population Services International) which uses media, pop culture, music, theater and sports to stop the spread of HIV/AIDS across the globe. I had the opportunity to meet people like Sir Bob Geldof, Annie Lennox, Judy McGrath, Ashley Judd, Sharon Osbourne and Anna Kournikova, I wish there were more people like them, people that care, people who work to make a difference, trying to make others feel better, trying to give them a hope, trying to give them a better life. Sometimes we don’t realize how lucky we are for having food on our table every day, for being healthy, for being alive…If we could all be grateful for all of that and more, then we would understand that with a little bit of help, we could give life to people in their hearts, in their spirits and in their bodies.

Youth AIDS
今週の金曜日、Youth AIDSギャラのためワシントンD.Cにいました。Youth AIDSはPSI(Population Services International)の教育的な予防プログラムで、世界中に広まっていくHIV/AIDSの動きを防ぐ為にメディア、若者文化、音楽、映画やスポーツを取り入れています。ボブ・ゲルドフさん、アニー・レノックス、ジュディー・マックグラス、アシュリー・ジュド、シャロン・オスボーンやアンナ・コウニコヴァのような方々にお会いする機会がありました。彼らは、人々の気分を楽にさせたり、望みを与えてあげたり、より良い生活を与えるなど、違った方法で人々を気遣っています。彼らのような方々がもっとこの世にいたらいいのにと願ってやみません。時々私達は毎日テーブルに食事が用意されていること、健康で毎日を遅れていることがどれだけ恵まれたことなのか忘れてしまいがちです。もし私達皆が全てのことに対して感謝することができるのなら、人のために役に立つということを少しでも理解し、人々に心と魂と体をもって人生を捧げることが出来るでしょう。
