I WAS THERE! I was backstage at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show in New York, and it was amazing to see all the costumes, the incredibly fit and beautiful models getting ready, giggling, posing for the cameras. Naomi Campbell was there with her friend talking to one of the model with her deep, raspy voice. Let me tell you…. when the show starts it is like an explosion of beauty on that stage! The girls really enjoy being admired, you can feel the energy from them, it is incredible.The girl with the most connection with the cameras at the end of the runway is Karolina Kurdova, she is spiky that girl. (the blond, with the huge peacock feathers on her back below)

One time after the show, we all took a taxi to go for a diner in downtown Manhattan and I shared one with this really famous model and she was telling me about the behind the scenes stories about the show, it was fun to listen to her. When we left the taxi, she laughed so hard because I got yelled at by the taxi driver as I forgot to tip him and then he yelled at me even more when I did not close the door of his car, because I am used to Japanese taxi back doors opening and closing automatically!

You know, the funny thing is that this year it was really similar to the national costume show at the Miss Universe competition. Chanel Iman below could have been Miss Dominican Republic! Check the pictures below.
