Attention-Grabbing Eyes
It was all about the eyes for spring/summer 2013, with jewelled lids at Dior, pink mascara at Donna Karan, and Space Age silver at Chanel.
Fluttery Lashes
Full, feminine, fluttery – and quite openly faux – lashes were on show at Versace, Gucci, Giorgio Armani and Moschino, providing an antidote to the grungier, Nineties beauty elsewhere.
Matte Lips
Whether it’s Burberry’s velvety scarlet, Missoni’s bold coral or Giles’ vibrant fuchsia, the only way to wear bright color on the lips is if it’s matte.
Sixties
There was all-out Sixties beauty – complete with filled-in brows, nude lips and doe eyes – at Marc Jacobs, but whether it was the banana-shaped creases in the eye socket at Michael Kors, the symphony of pastels at Louis Vuitton or the mega lashes at Moschino, that most swinging of decades made its mark across all four fashion weeks.

No Catwalk Show For Alexander McQueen This Season

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN will not hold an autumn/winter 2013-14 catwalk show this coming season – opting instead for an intimate presentation.
Creative director Sarah Burton, who is currently heavily pregnant with twins, will be on maternity leave during Paris Fashion Week – and will remain in her hometown of London.
The brand will hold a small private presentation for around 100 editors at a central Paris location in the afternoon of March 5.
Commercial appointments will be scheduled for later that evening.
A spokesperson for the label confirmed that Burton plans to reclaim McQueen’s traditional Paris Fashion Week evening show slot for spring/summer 2014.
