A BIG SMILE FROM THE OLYMPICS!

Together with my niece Colette Ligron (15 years old) during the gymnastic individual finals. Such an incredible feeling to see it live, because television does not reflects the passion that people display within the arena. We were in a private suite with my sister in law Debbie Berger and my niece Kiara. The suite was filled mostly with American people. So much energy in the suite. We could see the rest of our family waving at us accross from us in another suite.

Now going to Horse Jumping finals with my parents and my niece Colette,

then tonight the soccer finals with Japan against USA!!!! Yeahh go JAPAN, gambatte Nihon!

In the morning we watched Horse Dressage which was so elegant and with some of the most incredible riders and horses. I am so lucky to be here with my family and friends. Thank you life, you can be so beautiful when you are in an Olympic mood…

Go Laura!!!

My bed!!!

in the beautiful Riad where we are staying. (Right now I am actually seated on the bed writing this post).

our suite: the Oriental Suite

Riad Granvilier is a guest house of the 18th century located at 2 steps from the famous Jeema-El-Fna market place. Literally 3 mn walk in very cute, safe and clean streets.

And you are in the middle of everything: the heart of the souks, the museums, the city’s historic sites, such as the Koranic school Ben Youssef, the Great Mosque Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, the Museum of Marrakesh and the Tombs Saadi.

http://www.riad-granvilier.com/

I found this RIAD on internet because of all the EXCELLENT comments written by previous guests, and we are also going to write amazing comments because the place and the staff are incredible. Truly an excellent service, a perfect location and some delicious food.
Hissam the Manager is beyond helpful, he makes you feel at home.

Tonight, returning from the souks, we met the owner in this comfy red pillows-corner, and she explained to me how she created this oasis in the middle of Marrakesh after coming here from the Alsace in France where she leaves. She is a stunning Brazilian beauty and we started chatting.

She told me that after founding this Riad 6 years ago, it took her 4 full years to renovate it. It opens its doors last year and is now an oasis for many returning guests. For sure we will be back, and recommending it to our friends.

The price for our suite is 100 Euros per night including breakfast and wifi. Very reasonable.

Marrakech, July 29th 2012

Today, we enjoyed our day at the SELMAN, a somptuous 5 stars hotel in Marrakesh,
a prestigious home for those who love horses and a luxurious lifestyle.
The view from one of the Junior Suite is beautiful. The rooms are very beautiful and functional.

http://www.selman-marrakech.com/

I read in the Financial Times that this hotel was a must see, experience and I also found out that the person whom founded this modern Palace in Marrakech. was one of my my Brother Philippe Ligron ‘s student at the École Hoteliere de Lausanne in Switzerland.
The dining room of The Selman Hotel, Marrakech, designed by Jacques Garcia
My lunch: I ordered Cotes d’agneau and my husband Sea bass and 2 expressos. It was delicious

In the middle of the hotel a record-breaking axial pool of 80-meters fringed by palm trees brings coolness to the grounds and around it, you can see some beautiful Arab horses running around, a little girl actually told her parents* -”it is better than Word Disney here!”

Miss Beauty

This pure-breed beauty born in the USA, actually won the best price of beauty in Paris this year!

This reminds me of my visit in the Royal Stables of Sheik Mohammed al Makoum in Dubai as his guest, March 2010. see: http://inesligron.com/blogroll/dubai-sweet-memories.html

The exteriors are pure redbrick grandeur, while inside Second Empire elegance meets le chic d’Afrique in the form of Napoléon III–inspired chairs, ebony-stained plasterwork, and antique carpets.

From $530/night

I strongly recommend you to stay, or visit over lunch or dinner at this unique modern-palace!

and… the SPA is to die for!

GISELE = BABY COMING & SLUMS MODEL SEACH!

GISELE BUNDCHEN is expecting her second child with husband Tom Brady.

On holiday with her family in Costa Rica, she showed her tummy off in a silver bikini as she played on the beach with her two-and-a-half-year-old son, Benjamin. The supermodel, who has five sisters, has previously spoken about wanting a big family with husband Tom Brady – himself one of four siblings. SWEET!

AND…

Gisele’s Model Search

She launched her own model search among her native Brazil’s slums this week. Called Top CUFA – which stands for Central Única das Favelas, or Central Union of Slums – the search will focus on finding model talent from the country’s most underprivileged areas. The contest, which aims “to boost slum dwellers’ self-esteem,” will narrow down applicants to one finalist from each of Brazil’s 27 states, before crowning one girl the Top CUFA.

“I feel privileged to be the sponsor of this project,” Bundchen said, revealing that she had been rejected by 42 agents in London at the start of her career. “I was finally taken on the 43rd try!”

The winner will receive a year’s worth of Pantene hair products – a brand for which Bundchen is spokesmodel in Brazil – a year-long modelling contract, and the crown that Bundchen won at her first Carnival.

GREAT HUMAN-ISTIC NEWS!
