NHK SPECIAL PROGRAM COMING SOON!
September.18,2008
NHK will air a special program about Hiroko’s training with me to prepare for the world competition against 80 other countries/women. Also, about while she competed in Vietnam. NHK followed us from April to July, can you believe!!!!???? They even arrived BEFORE Hiroko in Vietnam and were expecting her at the airport in Nha Trang with the other international press to film her.
NHK asked me to name the 2 most powerful training houses in the world, and the countries that had won the most times and also about the most charismatic-gourou-director within the Miss Universe Organization and I named Osmel Souza of course. Also NHK went to Venezuela to film Miss Venezuela, Dayana Mendoza’s training (she won, also it is great because everyone will be able to see how she got trained!)
They interviewed Osmel daily for 5 days. Afterward, NHK went to Puerto Rico to film the training of Ingrid, Miss Puerto Rico together with her director Magali Febles, about the difference between her and my training. Sugoi!
This documentary will be the best ever for sure, one full hour documenting the behind-the-scenes of Hiroko training for 2 & half months in Japan, 10 days in my home in France and one full month in Vietnam. Of course there will be lots of hard time, ups and down and laught and teers. It will allow people to see what it takes to compete at Miss Universe and that it is not only about the looks but it will show all the mental preparation, physical and self-management requirement needed to become number one in the world for a young women in her early twenties.
I cannot wait to see it and to learn about my mistakes so that I can improve next year. I hope that you will see it as well.

As a reference to foreigners, NHK is the Japanese official national television and the most watched in Japan. Their documentaries are respected nationawide and cosnidered as cultural. When I arrived in Japan and started working as the director of the Miss Universe Organization, I would never have thought that 10 years later NHK would give me the honor of showing my work as a reference. Again, I am very thankful and honored.
From NHK:

This July, the Miss Universe 2008 world competition was held in Vietnam, with 80 delegates coming from all over the world. With Kurara Chibana finishing 1st Runner-Up two years ago, followed by Riyo Mori’s crowning as Miss Universe last year, Japan has displayed its success in recent years under Ines Ligron, Miss Universe Japan National Director.
Her aim has not only been to develop external beauty, but to also strengthen inner beauty in order to sculpt a true independent woman.
-The most beautiful woman in the world-
Each country has a different vision. Venezuela has won 4 times in the past. Its director focuses on external beauty, and doesn’t even hesitate to push for surgery.
What is “Beauty”???
Appearance, personality, or what else….?
We see her spending half a year developing Japanese women’s inner beauties for the Miss Universe world competitions.
