Some news from the Universe
Voila! Alvaro Garnero was fired as a preliminary judge.
Following my post “What is happening?”, well it is now confirmed: Alvaro Garnero will no longer be a preliminary judge.
After photos of Brazilian businessman Alvaro Garnero welcoming Miss China and her national director at his office in São Paulo a few days ago were published in the internet, several national directors contacted me asking to help by blogging. They also protested to the Organization and this morning his name no longer appeared in the list of judges at the pageant’s official website.
Now only six judges have been confirmed.

Not only Miss France, but quite a few delegates cried after watching a video showing the reality of kids in poor areas of Brazil and the type of work ” Caso do Zezinho” does on helping them. It was truly an emotional visit. Miss Egypt was sobbing. Miss Serbia said she would give the world to be able to help the kids. Miss Slovenia said this was the project of her life and exactly what she wants to do in the future. The kids just loved the girl’s visit and tried to communicate with them asking people to translate their words. The girls had a really beautiful time there.
Cool to see this side of the pageant. Not everything in life is luxury and glamor. Real nice to see these beauties have golden hearts. [Marcus USA}
Time for the group photo but everybody is really too sad to smile…. reality hurts too much sometimes
Angola, France, Japan
Miss Universe, such a face, would love to see her in movies soon. She would be a young version of Salma Hayek… Miss Finland face OMG! Below Peru and Panama.Dancing queen Switzerland, beautiful! First time we see Ukraine with some excitement and fun…
Portugal is very pretty, and she is very in demand with the local press I guess…. Good to see France & Spain together.
Shopping yes please!! zehi!
Japan is invited to most of the event (car race, market, spa, countless interviews with the Brazilian press because there is a HUGE local Japanese population in Brazil and she is receiving an incredible support. Good wibe!
Maiko lsat year would have done great s she is fluent in Portuguese. One year too early. Zannen.
Miss China legs OMG! She does not need to meet any judge, she has it all. Give the girl a chance and don’t spoil her chances, that’s all. Corruption one day will stop ruling the world if everyone gives a voice agaisnt it. See what happend in many countries in the Middle east lately… It is time for fairness in this world. Let’s be fair today.
Love Finland and Vietnam is great.
This is the strongest year for Miss Universe. As a majority, the girls are finally gorgeous and fashionable. I am happy to see that.
Who has “The FACE” ?
To me, facially, the most naturally beautiful girls for cameras, are:
Angola, Finland, Malaysia, Costa Rica, Panama and Greece
