In fact, I was told that this year it is the weakest group ever also the organization decided to have a top-10 only. Many girls that are really pretty are in fact home sick, or have no interest to win. Also the preliminary interview will be very challenging and only the top 10 girls who are really focused, smart and also beautiful will be chosen. I believe based on who are the final judges, the winner will be someone fresh, young, generous, trendy and with a very unique personality…. Judges includes fashionista Jennifer Hawkins, Miss Universe 2004 and fashion-maker Roberto Cavalli, mega-star Italian designer. Unfortunately it is late and I shall write more news tomorrow morning. I just came back from a cocktail reception with Italian Prime Minister, now in Japan for the G8 summit in Hokkaido on Monday. C’est pas beautiful ca?!

今年は今までの大会でも一番弱いグループになっているようで、大会本部も今年は上位10名だけに絞ると決定したようです。多くの候補者達がホームシック、又は、勝つことに対する意欲を感じられず、予選のインタビューもとても困難なものになると思います。勝ち残れる上位10名は、とてもフォーカスでき、知性を兼ね備えている美しい人だけが選ばれでしょう。

最終選考に勝ち残るのは、新鮮で若くて寛大で、トレンディーで、とても個性豊かな子だと思います。審査員は、2004 ミス・ユニバースのJennifer Hawkins、ファッション　ブランドのロベルト・カバリ、イタリアの有名デザイナーなどです。

申し訳ないのですが今日はもう遅いので、明日の朝に又ニュースを書こうと思います。今ちょうど、月曜日から北海道で開催されるG8 サミットに出席される為に来日したイタリアの首相とのカクテルレセプションから帰ってきたところです。
