GET THE LOOK: THE CENTER BRAID TREND

Braids have been trending for quite some time now, and no one can seem to get enough of them — whether it’s a messy-chic fishtail, a boho waterfall, or an on-trend undercut. And now we’re eager to present the latest fad in plaits: the center braid. The look involves a braid going straight down the middle of your head with your hair either left loose or swooped into a bun or ponytail.

How to do it?
1. Blow-dry your hair very straight by using a smoothing, straightening lotion.
2. Gather a two-inch mohawk section of hair. It should go from the top center of your head down to the nape and end in a point.
3. Apply a dry shampoo on this section to create texture and grip.
4. Using this section, reverse braid from the hairline right down to the nape and secure it with a small band.

If necessary, finish the look by using a straightening iron on the loose hair to create a sleek, polished feel.

Voila!

Answering my comments: Feeling lonely

“The most terrible poverty is loneliness, and the feeling of being unloved.” ― Mother Teresa

Answering my messages:
Ines, I feel so lonely. There is nobody I can trust in my life, people call me a loner. I lam lost, sad, I like your opinion and I need guidance. Thank you. Leah (Toronto)

Dear Leah, so sorry to hear your pain. If you meet a loner, no matter what they tell you, it’s not because they enjoy solitude. It’s because they have tried to blend into the world before, and people continue to disappoint them and I am sure this is how you feel. You are not a loner, you just feel safer to be alone. I understand you.

When I was bulled in my early years, music was my refuge. I could crawl into the space between the notes and I would forget about loneliness. Also my Mom sent me one day to deliver apple tarts to a old folks home nearby my home, and I felt I have met good friends, they were more lonely than me. It was amazing because I was about 10 years old at the time and also they were some 60~70 years older than me but I felt happy being with them. I would read for them or just tell them what i did in my day and the happiness that I gave them was immense and it made me feel needed in return. It felt good!

Remember leah, that there will always be someone next to you waiting to be your friend because this person will be feeling even more lonely than you do.

And you are not alone, because I am right here now talking to you. You will be in my heart today, I will be carrying you around. Do not give up and do not forget that in life you are your best friend, also love yourself more-than-ever. A big kiss and give me some news soon.

Love you, ines
xoxo
